- The kit integrates a Timing Belt constructed from high-tensile HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) for ozone resistance and thermal endurance. The included Water Pump features a precision-cast aluminum housing and OE-matching impeller to maintain factory-specified coolant flow and engine geometry.
- Designed to address mechanical play in the valvetrain by replacing the aging belt and tensioner. The mechanical spring-loaded tensioner ensures direct-fit integration with the 1.7L engine block, restoring factory handling characteristics for camshaft and crankshaft synchronization without skipping teeth.
- All pulleys and idlers are precision-machined and cycles tested to withstand high RPM stress. The belt profile is engineered for exact geometric matching to the D17 cam sprockets, ensuring a closed-loop solution for the internal combustion timing system and maintaining proper valve-to-piston clearance.
- Professional installation is required following the OE TDC (Top Dead Center) alignment protocol. Do not use pneumatic impact wrenches on the crankshaft bolt without proper counter-weighted tools. Replaces OE# 19200-PLM-A01, 14400-PMM-A02, 14520-PLC-335, TCK312, TBK312.
